Looking at it now, I figure combat-oriented mechs would be a bit stockier and bulkier; maybe if the upper legs were bigger and the cockpit was lower, and the guns were attached by flexible pylons rather than arm-looking things (well, that's just my two cents).
But maybe such would just be the case with the ULP, since they have that utilitarian "no-frills" look to their stuff, while the AIA has a more streamlined, almost organic aesthetic.
I thought it may be, which is great, as we will get to see it in game or rendered nicely. However, I could have put money on it being 3D already. It looks almost exactly like a Google Sketchup or cartoon render in a modelling program. Look forward to more!
