I often wonder how other mecha designers come up with joints like that, whether it's something out of the aesthetic blue or has it been thoroughly researched and sketched just to see how it'd work even though viewers are most likely no going to be able to see it in full detail anyway. Either way, that's a heck lot of detail to make me jealous I'm learning, i'm learning...

Just one nitpick tho~ I thought APCs emphasise more on armor and compactness. It should be a small target as much as possible while at the same time carry or dispatch goods/personnel with efficiency and securely. This one looks more like an all-terrain assault vehicle or somesort.

Again, I'm being too nitpicky on the realism stuff Sometimes it does hamper me while designing mechas of my own. Great job on this one!

Yeah, I hear you there, on the low target profiles APC should have. But this is also a heavy weapon platform, with a limited artilary system...so It needs to be large to store ammunition.

Whee...joints are so much fun, eh? I kinda use a sense of reality, tinted heavily of 'does it look cool'-ness. Plus I look at joints of quadropeds...that helps a bit.

Then add widgets...lots o' them.

but if you want a more realistic design, I guess they should be bigger/wider to support the weight of the mech.
